Plush Films is an enterprise undertaken by the STW Group/WPP Australia. The commercial film company is run as a producer based company operating as an independent production arm - so we have no rostered directors. However we do have access to "literally hundreds" of directors from Australia and Overseas.
Plush Films start each project by putting together a dedicated team for each individual job - which starts with the selected director, producer, DOP, art director, etc. - entirely based on the individual job brief. Plush pitches like any other film company - and we win jobs based on our treatment.
Plush has directors in every specialist genre - performance, dialogue, comedy, look, special effects, cars, live action, animation, CGI, 3D, beauty, hair, etc. We have young up and coming local directors to world class international directors, from here and offshore. In the first year we shot with over 50 different directors, in the second around 65 and last year over 100.
Plush has shot throughout Australia, in Calcutta, London, Prague, NY, Washington, Montana, Mexico, the UK, France, Greece, Asia, South Africa and New Zealand for clients including Qantas, Castrol, AXA, FORD and FOXTEL - all from our Sydney base.
Plush has "two on staff editors" - who work with Avid & the Apple G5 with Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Shake etc.
We have an avid media composer "Adrenaline" with fully optioned 3D and sapphire effects. We have also used five of the top Sydney's top freelance editors.
We also have a fully optioned G5 Final Cut Pro Editing Suite offering editing, DVD authoring, motion compositing, Photoshop graphics and Quicktime/MPG encoding.
Plush Films offers full audio facilities for TV, radio and concept development inhouse. We have two identical suites running 48 track Fairlight Dream Stations with V Motion video capture. All audio and editing suites are networked enabling easy file transfer between them.
Plush's creation is to service local and international agencies and provide them with a comprehensive list of directors both locally and internationally whilst also providing them with the freedom to access the highest quality production facilities and edit facilities both in pre-production and post-production.
